Contribute Data to IOOS

11/07/2016

Working with IOOS is now easier than ever. Thanks to some hard work by the Operations division, spearheaded by oceanographer Jennifer Bosch, we have launched a new and improved Contribute Data section on the IOOS website.

Open data is at the core of everything IOOS does--from offering raw data streams to building powerful tools, every new resource we can add builds our integrated network. The new pages expand on previous information while improving it's usability and navigation. It offers Regional Associations and other IOOS grant recipients the data management and communications requirements for contributing data to IOOS.

Offering comprehensive, easily accessible information on policies, standards, catalog registration, and more is step one to build up our system.  The section is accessible through this link, the "Data" drop down menu, or the Data landing page.  Coming soon, we'll also be debuting a new page to break down all the different ways there are to access that data, so stay tuned for more!

The U.S. IOOS Program Office is happy to answer any questions you may have regarding contributing data to IOOS. Please feel free to contact the IOOS Program Operations Division (data.ioos@noaa.gov).
